Reigning Miss Wichita Asian Festival 2018

Danielle Taylor is honored to be Miss Wichita Asian Festival 2018, to raise awareness of the Asian communities in Wichita and promote the 39th Annual Wichita Asian Festival. She is a senior at Ark City Christian Academy and plans to attend college and major in biomedical engineering. Her goal is to go to medical school to become a doctor.

Danielle works as both a lifeguard and swim instructor. She loves working with kids and volunteering in her community. In her spare time, she works with a music instructor to record and document Lao music. Since her passion is playing the guitar, she hopes to help preserve the music of the Lao people. Danielle also loves to dance to Lao music and believes it is important to preserve Lao traditions. She wants to share the beauty of the Lao culture to all Kansans.

Additionally, Danielle will be representing the festival at Miss Kansas’ Outstanding Teen 2019 in Pratt this summer. She wants to use her title to empower young women to take pride in their roots and embrace the culture that makes them unique. Danielle loves learning about different cultures and looks forward to meeting people from across Kansas. She is also raising awareness and funds for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
